Youth Group

+ Youth Group

Youth in our community are an important part of our church body. We are looking for ways to reach out to youth by offering opportunities for support, discussion, learning, outreach, and lots of fun. If you know of any youth who may wish to participate in these opportunities...or would like to contribute ideas/leadership, please speak with Margie!

Youth Group Update:

The Youth Group took a break from studying and did an after school hot chocolate outing to The Barn in Mahone Bay. We continue to meet on Sunday nights at 6:30pm. Want to get involved with this awesome ministry? 2018 is our year to create new connections between the youth and the congregation!

Make sure you check out the Youth Group Facebook page

In April we rebounded to regular activities after March storms and bad roads. Busy with banner making, a Palm Sunday Bible Study Photoshoot
and delivering Easter flowers, we are now looking to campfires and outdoor activities. We are in need of a fundraiser. Anyone having anything they would want to donate for an online auction, let Margie know... a cake, basket fillers, a service or a prize are just some suggestions.
One regular meeting was held with four in attendance, 3 youth attended EPIC. Tiffany  and Margaret were on the leadership team
for this AMAZING event.  We've begun preparations for Operation Christmas Child. Outside of this group, a team to support this project has been formed. A notice dedicated to this project has been circulated via community mail drop and there are some at the back of the church.  Please pick one up if you are not on the mail drop route.

The next Youth Group meeting will be held on Sunday September 18th (7-9pm) at Margie's. Grades 7-12. Come and bring a friend! In the upcoming weeks we hope to share our CLAY experiences with the congregation. This week we meet with the other CLAY teams from the South Shore to plan this as a larger team. Operation Christmas Child is just around the corner and we hope you will join us in the amazing ministry again this year.
